The Denver Polo Club and The Animal Welfare Funding Alliance(TAWFA) are pleased to announce that Coldwell Banker and their Global Luxury Division will be the title sponsor at the Polo, Puppies and the Prince fundraiser August 11th. This event is capturing the attention of animal lovers throughout Colorado. Benefiting Animal Aid USA and boots on the ground rescues, the hope is to increase the awareness of the need for funding to continue this essential work on behalf of the animals.

Coldwell Banker has long been associated with community giving back and has a special passion for pets. They developed the "Homes For Dogs Project" in association with Together, their association has resulted in more than 20,000 dogs finding homes.

Prince Lorenzo Borghese, co-founder of Animal Aid USA and honorary host of Polo, Puppies and the Prince says, "I am thrilled to see Coldwell Banker and their Global Luxury Division continue to lead the way for large corporate support in the re-homing of our pets. They clearly are taking their passion for finding homes for dogs to a whole new level by supporting the Polo, Puppies and the Prince event in Denver. Their involvement and outreach in the community will help raise critical funds. We are also thankful that there can be heightened awareness of the essential financial backing needs of "boots on the ground" rescue operations".

"Sadly, adds Borghese, there is never an end to the rescue of pets and the fiscal challenge. The cost is extraordinary due to the diminished condition of the pets and critical emergency situations that we see on a week to week basis at Animal Aid USA. We are not alone in that our rescue is volunteer and all funds needed to perform this critical component are dependent on the kindness and compassion of others."

Polo, Puppies and The Prince will be held at The Denver Polo Club. The schedule of events will include a puppy adoption held by Paws on the Ground Rescue, Polo, Concessions, Pictures with the Prince and and the vening fundraiser which includes polo, dinner and dancing. Full details of the event can be found at or by calling Jayne Cordes, 720-936-6691.

TAWFA Selects Pippin and Friends as Champions for Pets

For Immediate Release

The Animal Welfare Funding Alliance(TAWFA)

There are never words to say when someone has lost their pet, only tears, tears and more tears. Having all gone through the death of an animal family member, we know that it is only time that eases that pain.  Memories will become less and less sad but happier as time goes on as what a monumental contribution a pet has given to our lives.

The Animal Welfare Funding Alliance, a fundraising network is offering a way in which 90% of a donation goes to provide a life saving intervention in honor of a pet that has died.  They have chosen a very special pet named Pippin.

Pippin was a rescued dog himself who had an extraordinary opportunity to have a great home with great people. So tragic and unexpected was his passing that TAWFA has featured him as the face in TAWFA's "in memory of" fundraising effort - "Pippin and his friends"

In honor of a pet that has died, TAWFA selects a pet that is in need of a life saving intervention.  There may be some kind of comfort in letting family members and friends that you understand little can be done at this time to ease their pain, but everything can be done for another pet at risk.
